Mashing some beautiful orchestral sounds into an eerie final product, Sydney's The Crooked Fiddle Band have delivered a beautiful instrumental LP as their second full offering, decorated with the detailed cover art image made without the use of Photoshop, believe it or not. The band have a string of dates around the country from later this month until the end of the year to celebrate this week's release.

The highest rating record this week, Darkside's Psychic makes effective use of electro-genius Nicholas Jarr and multi-instrumentalist Dave Harrington, resulting in an excitingly patient slow-burn. A pretty impressive effort for their first full-length release.
