EYE ON THE CHARTS

Sheppard look like they're nabbed back their top spot in the top 20 of AIR's singles/EP charts for independent labels with independent distribution chart for at least a little while longer. Their self-titled EP (Independent/MGM) edged out the debut entry Melt (Opulent/Inertia) from Chet Faker and Kilo Kish. That track also pushed last week's number two Dustin Tebutt down to three with his song The Breach (Independent).

Other debuts in the singles/EP chart came from dance dudes What So Not with their High You Are Remixes (Sweat It Out/Xelon) and from Perth stalwarts Eskimo Joe through their single Got What You Need (Dirt Diamond/Inertia).

Brisbane four-piece The Jungle Giants maintained top position in the top 20 albums released on independent labels through independent distribution chart this week with their record Learn To Exist (Amplifire). Chet Faker's Thinking In Textures (Opulent/Inertia) remained at two while Horrorshow dropped from third to six with King Amongst Many (Elefant Traks/Inertia).

Aussie faves Regurgitator debuted with their latest LP Dirty Pop Fantasy at number four, while the other first time entry came from Adelaide's Germein Sisters via their release Because You Breathe (Independent/MGM).
