Making a few waves over the weekend and this week, Melbourne's most-secretive band Cut Copy have unveiled the much anticipated details of their fourth record, set to hit shelves in very early November.

On Saturday, the four-piece announced that they'd be releasing their new song, Free Your Mind, to six specific points around the globe – shown on billboards - for fans to listen only if they venture to these points – an incredibly secret marketing plan until the tune was obviously leaked online not long afterwards. Though, fans now get a few solid answers!

The record, also titled Free Your Mind, was recorded back home in Melbourne, produced by the band's frontman Dan Whitford and taken to New York City to work with Tame Impala, Flaming Lips and MGMT mixer David Fridmann. Inspired by times of celebration in troubled times and as the title suggests, Cut Copy make strong use of the idea of freedom in creating their follow-up to Grammy and ARIA-nominated offering, Zonoscope.

“The concept of freedom is one that's universally positive and timeless, and whatever each person's version of that freedom is, it's a good thing to be reminding ourselves to be free” said Whitford.

With this idea in mind, the band have used their billboard release of Free Your Mind and their Pitchfork Music Festival stall sale of another single from the record, Let Me Show You, in July of this year.

The full tracklist goes a little something like this.

1. (Intro)
2. Free Your Mind
3. We Are Explorers
4. Let Me Show You Love
5. (into the desert)
6. Footsteps

10. Meet Me In A House Of Love
11. Take Me Higher
