Four east coast dates for the world's favourite New Zealander

More Lorde More Lorde

One of the most exciting young acts in the world at the moment, New Zealand teenager Lorde has confirmed four east coast tour dates following the release of her debut album Pure Heroine this September.

Signed by Universal at age 12, the 16-year-old has enjoyed a stunning breakout year with a run of sold-out Australian club shows before being called in as a last-minute replacement for Frank Ocean at Splendour In The Grass.

Her debut EP The Love Club, which was spawned the singles Royals and Tennis Court, has amassed double platinum sales in Australia (over 120,000 copies) and is currently at number two on the ARIA Singles Chart. Peaking at as high as 49 in the Billboard 200 (after a steady climb, yes we've been tracking her for a while now), her track Royals is top of the US Alternative Songs chart this week.

She's the first woman to top the US chart since Tracy Bonham achieved the same in 1996, which is actually before Lorde was born.
