More Vance Joy More Vance Joy

Melbourne singer songwriter Vance Joy has landed a prominent placement for an American TV advertisement for GoPro as his stocks continue to rise in the US.

Joy, who is signed to Liberation, managed by UNFD and booked by Village Sounds locally, provides the track Riptide to the video camera ad featuring surfing celebrity Lakey Peterson. Shown on American TV, the clip has almost 40,000 views on YouTube. It is the latest in a string of momentum-building achievements for the young artist, who is shaping up to be one of the country's biggest break-outs in 2014.

Joy is signed to Atlantic Records for the international release of his debut EP God Loves You When You're Dancing, which features Riptide.

Another young artist making inroads into the US market is New Zealander Lorde who has risen in the Billboard 200 charts once again. Her EP The Love Club is at 52 this week, up from 74 last week.

She's climbed ahead of Australian-based megachurch Hillsong, who slipped to 60 with Live: Glorious Ruins this week. It debuted at 18 last week. Australians also continue to kick goals in the US EDM charts, this week with Empire Of The Sun's Alive up to three in the Dance/Club Play Chart, Tommy Trash's Reload collab at four and Kylie bulleting to 25 with Skirt.

Locally, both Vance Joy and Lorde are expected to receive chart boosts this week.
