He will deliver a keynote speech at inaugural TILT event
It's been confirmed that Federal Minister Peter Garrett will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural event for The Australian Institute Of Music's latest initiative TILT (Tomorrow's Ideas Leading Today).
Of his upcoming speech, Garrett said, “The Australian Institute of Music will provide the perfect stage for the Tomorrow's Ideas Leading Today initiative. There are some exciting opportunities ahead for the arts industries to capitalise on future technologies and innovations. This is a great time for artists to come together and explore those opportunities together.”
This follows on from his speech on live music at the Save Play Bar event that took place the other week, which ended in controversy.
TILT, which will be presented by theMusic.com.au, takes place at the Australian Institute of Music in Surry Hills on Friday 5 July. The event will be hosted by television personality James Mathison and will feature the following speakers: Ianto Ware - National Live Music Coordinator, Sounds Australia, Danny Yau - independent marketing and digital marketing consultant (Foxtel), Colin Blake - CEO Rdio, Rhys Thomas - Senior Agency Manager, Google, Luke Hopewell - Editor, Gizmodo Australia and Thomas Heymann - Deezer.
