PJ and Nick Sitting In A Tree...

Two music icons, PJ Harvey and Nick Cave, are headed to the Sydney Festival, but did you know the pair share a bit of a past?

Music icons PJ Harvey and Nick Cave will headline the music program at this year's Sydney Festival. While they're not sharing the stage, there's plenty this pair have shared during their soaring careers. *wink wink, nudge nudge*

If you've ever watched the video for Nick Cave and PJ Harvey's Henry Lee, the electricity between the pair absolutely smoulders. It's easy to see why Cave's current wife Susie Bick admits she finds this video difficult to watch (the similarities in appearance between Harvey and Bick are actually astonishing).

Henry Lee is a one-take video and the pair barely knew each going into filming, which is difficult to believe when you see it. Sitting on a love seat, the pair, fully clothed in matching white shirts and black suits, basically rub up on each other before standing up, dancing together and then kissing. They are falling in love in front of our eyes during the filming of this three-minute video and we're pretty sure they hooked up immediately afterwards.

Fun Fact: Cave's deeply personal The Boatman's Call album is about his relationship with Harvey (he broke up with Viviane Carneiro, the mother of his son Luke, to be with Harvey who then went on to break Cave's heart). "Did you ever care for me?/Were you ever there for me?/So far from me," Cave sings in Far From Me (from The Boatman's Call). Maybe he can ask Harvey in person during Sydney Festival, where they're both performing (separate) shows? We're still hoping they'll share the stage, though, because Harvey's show is on 22 Jan, the night after Cave's pair of shows (20 & 21 Jan) at the same venue: ICC Sydney Theatre. But we're also pretty sure Bick hopes the pair won't cross paths.
