More Dear Plastic More Dear Plastic

When did you start making music and why? Danny, Josh and myself started a band in 2007. We each had different reasons. I had a lot I wanted to say, and music seemed like the right platform. Danny joined because of peer pressure.

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Lush, dark, pretty good.

What other events/gigs are you looking forward to at Leaps & Bounds? Cash Savage & The Last Drinks at The Old Bar — killer combo! — and the Clowns and Mangelwurzel all ages show. Can’t wait to see the kiddies cut a rug to that music!

What do you think is the best thing about a festival like Leaps & Bounds? It’s a great way to bring artists together, and to expose people to music that might be outside of their usual spheres.

What are your favourite places to hang out in the City of Yarra and why? We’ve been rehearsing at Bakehouse Studios for years now, so I love being there; feels like home. Also love being at the Gaso: great sound system, and it’s magic when the roof’s open.

Why should people come and see your band at Leaps & Bounds? We’re launching the final single off our debut album, so it’ll be like a goodbye party for that huge project.

When and where for your Leaps & Bounds gig? 10 Jul at The Workers Club.
