Introducing: LO'99
The Aussie house scene continues its exponential growth.. Following our premiere yesterday of Mickey Kojak's new Sinden remix (check it HERE), we figure it time to give another up-and-coming house producer some lovin' in LO'99. Fairly mysterious, he's been bobbing up with a few sweet free remixes and originals, and we get the feeling it's just the beginning and Australia falls more and more in love with the 4x4 bizness. Take a listen to LO'99's bassy sounds below, and get to know him a little better: Tell us about about yourself?  Big fan of basslines, computer games and shoes, mostly Nike. Hoegaarden is my beer of choice :)  What kinda tunes we talkin’? I love all types of music, but in my studio we talking 4 to the 4 bassline business. I guess house in general, but I’m definitely not shy of a broken beat or some techno.  Production/writing process: Laydown a kick, add a lilttle percussion and go in on a b-line!! The rest comes after unless I have a vocal or melody idea in the first

Life As A Wookiee by Mako Miyamoto
Mako Miyamoto imagines the wookiee as just like you and me.. With Star Wars hyperdriving back into the collective concious faster than the Maltese Falcon, we're looking forward to more and more Star Wars-themed shenanigans up until the new movie's release. Well kind of, Star Wars is one of those things that's never really far away from pop culture, especially not for long. But if it produces more things like this photo series, we're not complaining. Photographer Mako Miyamoto has taken everyone's favourite '80s shaggy rogue space cowboy space breed - wookiees - and thrust them into our world, but maybe a couple of decades ago. I think. I'm not sure, I can't really tell, the variety of Instagram filters thrown onto the photos is visually confusing, but very aesthetically appeasing. I wasn't gonna post these until I saw the one of him swimming underwater. That one got me. So please enjoy, and head to Miyamoto's WEBSITE for more. via.

FKA Twigs - LP1
LP1 is out now, and we excited.. Tahlia Barnett, also known as FKA Twigs, is an experimental R&B musician/dancer hailing from Gloucestershire, UK. Originally known as just Twigs, due to her constantly cracking and popping bones, she was pressured to change her name due to another artist named Twigs, leading to her current moniker FKA (formerly known as) Twigs. Growing up in Gloucestershire with musical parents, she discovered her sweet and airy vocal abilities in her teenage years whilst in the local recording studio with her Jamaican father and local musicians. Moving down to London at the age of 17 to pursue a career in dancing, it didn’t take her long to realise that music was her true calling. Since then, Twigs has released two EPs on the highly acclaimed record label Young Turks, home of artists such as The xx and SBTRKT, and has just released her debut album, LP1:
