Video: Zeds Dead - Hadouken
Smirnoff launch the Sound Collective - it's like a house party but with big time DJs providing the beats.. This summer will see Smirnoff launch their Sound Collective project in an effort to take the ego out of EDM and bring it back down to a real level – where the music is paramount and good times with you the main concern. How? Well quite simply really; throwing sweet “house” parties with some of the world’s biggest DJs getting down off their pyrotechnic/flashy-LED throne and partying on the floor with you. For some idea of what it’s gonna look like, Zeds Dead shot the video clip for their single Hadouken in the #Smirnoffhouse at this year’s Tomorrowland, and they’ll be bringing a similar party to Stereosonic later this year. Bringing the bangers down to your level gives us Boiler Room-esque warm fuzzies, and we’re looking forward to much more of this over the coming summer. New: Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP - Sugarman
The dream team finally re-unite for a take on Rodriguez's classic.. Don't pretend you didn't at some stage enjoy the heck out of We Speak No Americano when it became the one and only go-to track for clubs/pubs/parties/RSLs in 2010. Sure Yolanda Be Cool had to denounce themselves from it a year or two ago, but that's only because you all played it THAT much. Well it's been four years coming but YBC and DCUP have finally re-convened on a new jam, ready made for foot-tapping and club grooving. The reunion tales goes a little like this: Andrew (YBC): “We always intended to do more tunes together, but we just never seemed to be able to be in the same room for long enough. Then Duncan moved to Melbourne and for a while, I guess we just did our own thing.” Duncan (DCUP): “As much as we wanted to do more tunes together, apart from finding the time, we also knew that finding a sample with the same magic as Americano was a must. We didn't want to just put out tunes for the sake of it. Fast forwa

Mix: DJ Barely Legal - Rise Up #024
Despite her novelty DJ name, this mix is from the grime princess is legit.. 23-year-old Brummie born, London-based DJ Barely Legal (Chloe Robinson) just unleashed this dream of a mix for Trap Magazine, featuring songs from across the garage, jungle, grime, bass and footwork spectrums, along with a good dose of Destiny's Child, Usher, Jeremih and Alicia Keys. Robinson got her name before she even started DJing, when – at 16, a friend jokingly called her ‘DJ Barely Legal’, and it stuck (she even jokingly introduced herself to dubstep legend Coki as that soon after – brave!). At 19, she actually did learn to DJ (growing up in Birmingham with a mum that was way into garage music gave her a leg up into some more unique selects), and started using the name for real when playing in public. Despite her novelty name, this lady’s skills are nothing to smirk at – she’s regularly seen mixing it with the big boys of UK grime, dubstep and bass on club line ups with consistent quality song selections

Stream: Kindness - Otherness
UK producer Kindness's album is up to stream for free.. Kindness’ Adam Bainbridge's 2012 full length World, You Need a Change Of Mind was a sparkling hybrid of old and new dance music, modern pop and funk versus moody neo-disco and soul – with plenty of big funky basslines, like that in memorable single Gee Up.   Two years on, and he’s back with a new album, Otherness. It retains that D’Angelo-touched vibe of World..., but steps it up with collabs from Fade to Mind’s progressive R&B singer Kelela, Swedish pop firecracker Robyn, and Sky Ferrerira collaborator Dev Hynes (Kindness previously appeared on Blood Orange's album Cupid Deluxe). The album was mixed by revered sound engineer Jimmy Douglass, who’s worked with everyone from Aretha Franklin, to Aaliyah, to Timbaland (they made Ginuwine’s Pony together), to Justin Timberlake. You can pre-order HERE (album released October 13), and stream the album in full via the GUARDIAN.

Tour: Ghostface Killah
The Wu-Tang lord is headed back to Australia.. The return of one of the most iconic hip hop artists of our time, Ghostface Killah from The Wu Tang Clan will be blazing shit up around Australia and New Zealand this summer. After the group achieved breakthrough success in the aftermath of Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), the members went on to pursue solo careers to varying levels of success, with Ghostface debuting his solo- career with Ironman in 1996, which was well received by all and sundry. Critically acclaimed for his loud, fast-paced flow, and an emotional stream of consciousness narratives containing cryptic slang and non-sequiturs. In 2006, MTV included him on their honorable mention list of The Greatest MCs of All Time, while the editors of About.com placed him on their list of the Top 50 MCs of Our Time (1987–2007), calling him "one of the most imaginative storytellers of our time." New: Redial - Don't You Feel *Premiere*
Redial returns to Aus' dance music bringing some serious noise.. For those of us who were balls-deep in the electro-haze of 2007-09 Redial will be a familiar name, bringing an impressive set of banging remixes and originals to clubs and festivals around the country. After we assume spending a little time on tropical islands sipping coconuts and chilling out (basically 'cause we wish were doing the same thing), Redial is back and has entered the Aussie trap realm with a sound that still feels fresh - no doubt down to the fact the dude's serious production chops haven't gone anywhere. It all starts out pretty chill, before kicking into gear and going into a few unexpected areas over the four-minute journey. Follow Redial: FACEBOOK // SOUNDCLOUD

Magenta X Perth
From Versailles to Vegemite: a cross-continental skateboarding film shot in Perth.. The recently released Crossing The Perth Dimension is a gem of a short film, devised and created by a Perth-based crew, about French skateboard / clothing makers Magenta Skateboards' recent skating trip to Perth, and their time spent traversing the city on board with Perth skaters. In the film's opening scenes, filmmaker Josh Roberts, who's been working on skate film material for almost a decade now, gives context as to the project's genesis: "My name is Josh Roberts. I live in Perth, Australia, which is said to be the most remote city on earth. In 2012, I made Domingo, a short independent skate film, that focused on my friends skating the downtown streets of Perth. A few months later, I sent a copy of the video to the Magenta [Skateboards] guys in France, kinda like a 'thank you' for their skateboards providing the inspiration for me to make the film. A couple of friends from Perth were in France in th
