It’s a pretty affair, but lacks real depth.

Fitz seems a bit lost. It feels as though he has moved into more of a supporting role vocally, which made the set feel a little one-sided. This, however, was a small gripe in what was a joyous, humorous and very entertaining night.

More than just a musician, Caplan is an all-round showman.

Not bad for a man who’s been in the game for over two decades.

Opening with the alt.country tone of the title track, Green dives right into the album’s recurring theme of a search; a grand questioning.

“We just figured, if you’re going into a studio you may as well use everything you possibly can. That’s the whole point."

This album is a bloody marvellous return to form.

“Even with the performance clip, the idea was to leave people feeling a little odd, almost like reading somebody else’s diary. I think some people, even relatives of mine, have been taken back by the make-up stuff, it’s pretty full-on and it’s still strange.”

Musically, it’s an effort that soundly embraces elements of easy-listening.
