"Austen is an incredible artist and performer, and it was so rewarding to collaborate with her on this project."
Austen is today revealing the music video for her track, How To Be Alone, premiering exclusively via The Music.
How To Be Alone acts as the closer to Austen's recently released sophomore EP, Small.
The track is an '80s tinged, dark synth-pop ballad, that is equal parts emotive and dance-worthy.
In her own words: "How To Be Alone is dedicated to the person who told me ‘you need to learn how to be alone’ a month before a global pandemic hit. After 200 days locked down, I’m getting better, but I’m still learning.”
The video, directed by Katy Roubin, sees Austen intimately perform the track to a range of surreal backgrounds.
On working with Austen, Roubin stated: "We filmed this video across a couple of nights with the intent to capture a solo camcorder performance of the track.
