PREMIERE: SpaceManAntics - Don't Be The Last

Fremantle-bred four-piece SpaceManAntics are rocketing into 2015 with a brand-spankin'-new two-track single, Katzenjammer, and theMusic.com.au is proud to premiere the release's second cut Don't Be The Last ahead of the new work's launch this weekend.

With an official release date set for this Sunday, 11 January, the single marks the first new work from the band since their warmly received debut full-length, Puraede's Parade, dropped last year. With touches of psych, lo-fi, krautrock and pop ushering the band beyond their fledgling sounds, Katzenjammer and — moreover, for our purposes today — Don't Be The Last wear their vintage production values on their sleeves while confidently laying the groundwork for further growth and development in releases to come.

The band's sophomore full-length is still more concept than product, but has a projected release date for mid-this year. However, since nobody expects you to have to wait that long to enjoy a bit of SpaceManAntics in the flesh, Freo locals (and residents nearby) might want to hop along to Mojo's Bar this Saturday, 10 January, for the 7" single's official launch event.
