Album Review: Zebrahead - Call Your Friends

The rapping is still there, but it’s what’s always separated them from their peers. The world needs more ‘90s So Cal.

More Zebrahead Zebrahead

When they hit their stride, Zebrahead sound like Rise Against playing New Found Glory songs fronted by members of Offspring, RATM and Linkin Park after a beer or ten, pissing off your neighbours because they won't “take it inside”. With Call Your Friends they've again hit a perfect balance of pop-punk and jump-up rock with an aggressive edge, more along the lines of Phoenix than their fluffier last offering, 2011's Get Nice. The rapping is still there, but it's what's always separated them from their peers. The world needs more '90s So Cal.
