City & Colour’s Dallas Green has teamed up with pop sensation Alecia Moore (Pink) to create folk duo You+Me.
The two have collaborated and composed every song on this ten-track album that ranges from dark sombre blues, to more radio-friendly pop-folk. Open Door is your classic country ballad, whereas blues-inspired number, Love Gone Wrong, rings strong of Green’s original sound with the addition of Moore’s signature vocals. This is a project that runs the risk of not working, but fortunately uses the artists’ strengths to win the day and make this a captivating release.
