Album Review: Wod - I’m Gonna Tell Everyone We Slept Together Even If We Didn’t

StarStarStarStar

"This album is as serrated and irreverent as the title suggests, imbibing in heaving, raw aggression."

Melbourne’s WOD is another band in the city’s gritty drunken-grime gutter.

However this album is as serrated and irreverent as the title suggests, imbibing in heaving, raw aggression (Not Again, Yummy Time) and languid, louche jams (the hilarious What A Drag, and Monday Morning with its laconic ocker “She’ll be right, mate” echoing in the background). It’s all done with confrontation and vitriol, yet there’s little to fear here — it’s all boozy purge, the best way to spit and sweat out the hangover.
