The third album from US melodic hardcore dudes We Came As Romans is their most schmick release yet. Tracing Back Roots delivers the same brutal rhythmic punches and nasty-meets-nice vocals as past ware, and brings it in spades on the opening title track book-ended by supremely addictive riffs, but there's a more commercial wash on some tracks. Fade Away's mid-section breaks down with an electro pulse underlying it and Hope's glossy key opening quantises everything into a neat little package. For the true ball-buster of the bunch, look no further than Present, Future, And Past. Filthy stuff.
