‘I Stay Out Of It. I Cook’: Even After 13 Years Between Albums, Coming Up With A Karnivool Setlist Remains Quite The Feat

Live Review: WATCH: The National 'Terrible Love'

It’s been almost two years since THE NATIONAL released their massive fifth album High Violet and we still haven’t had enough.

It’s been almost two years since THE NATIONAL released their massive fifth album High Violet, but even after multiple world tours and festival spots, it seems we still haven’t had enough of the Brooklyn band’s emotive and enthralling indie rock. We want more.

Alas, there is no new stuff just yet, but we recently found this Pitchfork Presentation - a very special performance of 'Terrible Love' that has the band going native in a derelict mansion in the woods. Though of course they’re still impeccably dressed.

Between stunning, simple shots of scenery, THE NATIONAL pour their souls into an increasingly intense version of the hit single. It may have been around for a while, but anyone who’s heart isn’t still wrenched by Matt Berninger’s desperate delivery of “It takes an ocean not to break”, probably hasn’t got one.

Check out the vid for yourself to see what we mean.
