Think back to the start of 2012. Did you know THE CAST OF CHEERS? No, didn’t think so. But now, mid way through the year, everyone has caught wind of the Irish 4-piece's high energy, highly technical and super fun brand of Math Rock.
Over these past months the band have managed to build quite a following in Australia after their Sophomore LP, Family, was released. Through Co-Op the album was received incredibly well by major critics and even earned itself Triple J’s Feature Album.
The Cast Of Cheers also came out to the country for the first time last month for Splendour In The Grass, as well as playing a couple of co-headline sideshows with fellow genre benders – Django Django. So yeah, it’s been a pretty successful time for them in our fine country.

And with all this attention, comes great responsibility. Can the guys continue their fine form by releasing more brilliance? Well we’re here to say yes. Yes, they can. This time it comes in the form of their latest video clip, for the album’s 3rd single – ‘Human Elevator’.
Sticking very closely to the track’s title, the clip surrounds a mysterious elevator in a ridiculously spooky apartment building, filled with – yep, you guessed it, humans. But these humans aren’t your run of the mill residents; each floor is filled with another odd, strange or just plain creepy occupant. Whether it be the chainsaw holding Christians on the 9th Floor, or the Mankini wearing Table Tennis player on the 11th – you are in for a treat from start to finish with this one.
Overall, it’s just another way that The Cast Of Cheers can cement themselves as one of the most exciting acts of 2012.
