Still riding high on a wave of internet love for the brilliantly understated pop gem 'Everything Is Embarrassing', SKY FERREIRA is back with a video for fellow 'Ghost' EP track 'Lost In My Bedroom'.

The 20 year old singer, songwriter, actress and CK One model who counted Michael Jackson as a family friend whilst growing up, clearly has all bases covered for a future in "the biz" but neon signs point to 2013 being a breakthrough year for her music career with a (much delayed) debut album finally due for release.

'Lost In My Bedroom' is an electropop thumper that expertly straddles the increasingly blurred line between sugary mainstream hit and scuzzy alt anthem. The hooky oft repeated title pulls us in but there's just enough abrasiveness overlaying it's club beats to ward off those more accustomed to a spoon feeding.

The video's DIY aesthetic of low-res, spliced imagery clearly sets out to establish sufficient levels of grit under the nails of it's star whose pose-heavy persona presents a character seemingly intent on fusing the glamour and seediness of Pete Doherty-era Kate Moss. Even the heavy use of strobe, prompting a photo sensitive epilepsy warning message could be interpreted as a tactic for filtering out the masses.

Ferreira's shock of platinum-blonde hair, pouty red lips and vague stare make her the type of modern muse material that combined with her pop sensibility has led to 80's Madonna comparisons. Here's to hoping that with the likes of red-hot producers Dev Hynes and Ariel Rechtshaid in her corner, her singles can keep up with the the allure of her already intriguing image.
