Not much is known about POSTÅAL, but what we do know is they make some pretty nice tunes. Their bio simply says they were "introduced to each other in a cave," and that they were once "distant cousins" but now "they put music together in Paris," and whilst this is indeed mysterious, we've got all the story we need with their new clip for 'Burnin''.
Showing an intimate look into a Thai family, the song is perfectly fitting for the triumphs and tribulations of the human spirit. It's a slow burner, and but has an air of optimism that just doesn't go away - much like the determination of the characters in the clip. The visuals combined with the song make for an actually quite emotional experience, with the soulful vocal hook of "Keep those fires burnin' baby/ Don't you ever stop me" holding more than a bit of weight given what's going on in the clip.
Church like synths open the track against some gentle lyrics before the soulful hook ushers in an ODESZA-like percussion-led break. Perhaps indicative of the reach our FLUME really does have across the globe, POSTÅAL draw influence from his work to make this track what it is.
As we said before, there really isn't much known about the duo right now. They've got a collection of equally beautiful clips on YouTube, but as far as new releases go, their lips are sealed. It's unfortunate given how great this clip really is, but we're remaining as optimistic as the song itself that there is some new stuff coming in the not too distant future.
