LISA MITCHELL is an Australian darling, and her albums should be canonised as some of our very best and most loved remixes. Another act who is held in equally high regard are electronic pioneers, SEEKAE. So, it was a very special moment indeed when these two forces came together back in 2015 as Seekae put their own twist of one of Mitchell's most cherished songs, 'Wah Ha'.
Her soft and gentle vocals met rich, textured percussive electronica, trademarked with that Seekae sound to elevate it to heights it would never have reached before (it's been played over 400,000 times on Soundcloud). It's one of the best remixes of recent years, and is a throwback of epic proportions. Now, we have the exclusive look at Mitchell herself performing 'Wah Ha' - Seekae style.
Playing with lights and colours, Lisa Mitchell is joined by three guys (not Seekae but just as good) as she sways and moves on a podium. Flashes of light interrupt blues and purples as her voice spirals like smoke rising. It's a banger, but a different type of banger - it makes you move and makes you feel, as Seekae's vibrant beats mingle with Mitchell's unique vocals. The drops are enough to bring you to your knees, and are the kind that would have you transcending in a club at 3am, and this video amplifies this. The build is somehow even more powerful when performed live with bright spotlights moving and illuminating a dark room, and Mitchell's movements capture these feelings. For any Australian electronic music fan, this is a big release indeed.

Coming out just before Lisa Mitchell hits the road on her joint tour with DUSTIN TEBBUTT, this clip is the second throwback from Mitchell as she also recently shared a live video of her performing 'Neopolitan Dreams' in the same setting. Let's hope there's more of these up her tightly buttoned sleeves.
