Post dub prince, JAMES BLAKE’s painfully anticipated album ‘Overgrown’ has been released and the clues to the soon-to-be solved mystery are finally over. Lets all take a moment to breath because… this week we’ve got visuals!
BLAKE has just dropped his trippy new music video for ‘Voyeur’ and before watching we advise this to be a drug free zone. Seriously. Starting out with a 1-800 Dinosaur vinyl spinning on a deck, the film zooms in and suddenly we can’t help but be reminded of the old school Windows screen saver with the LSD finally kicking in at 3:25 (or Steve Jobs just made saving screens a tad more interesting)
From 1:18 on it devolves into dubstep-esque noise and anything that takes us away from BLAKE’s delicate, soulful voice never ends well… thank you dubstep. Otherwise we dig it and ‘Overgrown’ has a special place in our iTunes music library.
