This beautifully haunting and captivating film clip will have you begging for more from the Melbourne based duo Indian Summer.
With the incredibly haunting vocals by Swedish electronic musician Shaqdi, Loveweights carries a stirring ora upon itself which draws in the audience to be fully taken over by the music.
Released by Sweat It Out Music the film clip is confronting and haunting, yet artistic and engaging. Beautiful dog, beautiful girl, delicate scenes, and artful, non-threatening camera angles - I can't blame the first scene for fooling you into thinking this video was going to be something it is very much not. By the chorus this video has twisted and tossed itself into a frenzy of unexpected and confronting themes and visuals, which upon viewing go hand in hand with the overall vibe Loveweights portrays.
The bath scene - despite only being introduced half way through the video - sets the overall tone. The paranormal style filming such as the static visuals, the birds-eye shot, and the disguised painted figure appearing on different sides of the bath create a stark contrast from the artistic and delicate shots in the first scene. This haunting and overwhelming the audience in a similar way to the girl in the video. In conjunction with the bleeding heart, the girl disappearing into the bathtub, and the mystifying figure destroying the tub, this film clip takes freaky to a new intriguing level.
