Live Review: WATCH: Die Antwoord 'Baby's on Fire'

South Africans with Samurai swords. Who else but Die Antwoord? Check out their latest vid 'Baby's on Fire'...

Nothing like a bit of DIE ANTWOORD in the morning. The ‘Enter the Ninja’ duo have returned with a new video for their latest single ‘Baby’s on Fire’, shot in what looks a lot like South Africa’s Pleasantville: if Pleasantville was populated exclusively by scumbags.

The video begins in a fairly innocent suburban setting-family breakfast, but the serenity does not last long. Soon enough, the techno kicks in and with it comes the parade of local bad boys looking to get themselves a piece of lil' Yolandi Vi$$er.

The clip essentially shows the lengths a brother (Ninja) is prepared to go to, to protect his sister (Vi$$er)’s virtue from some unsavoury neighbourhood characters. I wont spoil it for you, but there are some fantastic outfits, female wrestling and an impressive array of weapons.

Words by Dominic Sciberras.
