Live Review: PREMIERE: CXLOE brings 'I Can't Have Nice Things' to life in new clip

With a new single under her belt and a run of shows with Maroon 5 happening late last month, Sydney's CXLOE is fast taking the world by storm. With a fresh take on emotional pop music, she's constantly on her grind, continuing to play shows, put out new tracks and is continually innovating.

She's returning today with a beautifully apt clip to accompany her latest single, 'I Can't Have Nice Things', which we're premiering here at Purple Sneakers today!

Filmed in a warehouse in downtown LA, the clip beautifully explores the tracks themes of isolation and the resultant self-deprecation felt when you feel as though you can't have the things that you want out of fear you'll do something wrong.

The clip was directed by Jade Elhers, who also directed CXLOE's previous clip for 'Show You'. Keeping in stead with the previous clip, this one is defined by a dark colour palette filled with deep blues, greys and blacks, and uses layering to visually bring the intensity up and down as the track allows for. The editing on this one is beautiful, and CXLOE works hard to visually show the pain expressed in the track through her actions in the clip.

With the video has come the announcement of a run of debut headline shows in Australia. She sold out her debut live show over at The Roxy in Los Angeles, and with her, she'll have a full live band with accompanying visuals to help her bring her mix of moody, emotional pop.
