Melbourne electronic duo ALTA have shared their newest lush single release, ‘Fix It’, plus a bonus official video.

This feisty new offering boasts ultra gritty drums and lo-fi tones, with the videography of the clip reflecting equally slick and jagged visuals.

‘Fix It’ is a new expansion for producer Julius Dowson and vocalist Hannah Lesser, who continue to break the boundaries of their sound and propel their creativity into new domains, resulting in this distinctive and irrefutably catchy track.

ALTA are renowned for crafting music that resides in crosshairs of experimental dance and pop; generating tracks that are exhilarating, capricious and bewitching. For this latest release, ‘Fit It’ exhibits wisdom and maturity in its production, with every percussive beat and synth line flaunting careful curation.

The use of both organic sounding percussion and electronic drums create a complex and erratic stature, which is sewn into an intricate web of sounds by the supporting synth parts. The explosive beats are further tamed by Lesser’s smooth, serenading vocals, yielding ownership and direction through the track’s cavernous soundscape.

The accompanying film for ‘Fix It’ displays an array of abstract clips, geometrically layered with visuals of the pair in the streets of Melbourne to fashion a unique collage of visuals with some patent throwbacks to 1990s era ABC Rage.

The release of ‘Fix It’ coincides with the exciting news of their performance as part of VIVID Music’s Women in Electronic Music Showcase in Sydney on June 17. See here for full event and ticket information.
