Scottish lads We Were Promised Jetpacks sound a lot like they're from America's north west - they've got abit of that mid 2000s Thermals, Sub Pop, Portland/Seattle thing going on. Don't dismiss them as derivative though, they've got an incredibly hooky sound that will keep you singing along well after you stop listening - even if you don't know the words.
