The film clip for the James Blake cover of Joni Mitchell's 'A Case of You' is out now; recorded shortly before his 2011 trip to Australia
2011 has doubtlessly been the year of JAMES BLAKE, his debut self titled album has just been rated at #6 on The Guardian's best releases of 2011. It was February this year that Britain's "Dubstep-Jeff-Buckely" recorded his amazing cover of Joni Mitchell's 'A Case Of You'; shortly before travelling to Australia for this year's Splendour in the Grass Festival and crazy Sydney and Melbourne sideshows.
10 months later the film clip for the song is released - the visuals of a cute girl's slow decent into madness perfectly complements Blake's unique/haunting vocal style. Although his approach to production is already very minimal its weird to hear him singing against a lonely piano line with no electronic parts what-so-ever.
