Chris Taylor can do no wrong in our eyes. First there was Grizzly Bear - and you have to admit, they're amazing. Now the bassist is out on his own with solo project CANT. Quickly gaining recognition under his new moniker, CANT are set to play at Falls Festival and Southbound over the holiday season. Of course, this means a whole bunch of sideshow dates where you can dote upon him up-close-and-personally.
Second single 'Too Late, Too Far' from debut album Dreams Come True has been released with an eerily dark film clip attached. The clip could be a confession to murder and burial... but the song, as you would expect, is perfection. It sounds almost echoey, there's a lack of instrumentation, but the doesn't detract from its listenability. The almost anthemic drum patterns are enhanced by multiple synths, and harmonic droning vocals. The lyrics fall by the wayside, you can just lose yourself in the track.
Before we leave you... we felt we had to share this wonderful little find, CANT's live performance of 'Believe' at Studio Brussel. The video proves the vocal capabilities Chris Taylor has under his belt, and should definitely convince you to attend one of his sideshows in your nearest city.
