"Vices offer yet further proof of the local hardcore scene’s continuing fecundity."

If you love melodic and emotionally-driven hardcore a la Verses or Touché Amore, you’ll go nuts for this record.

Clocking in at an extremely economical 21 minutes, it stands as a cathartic blast of sound that is honest, unpretentious and curiously infectious. Here the Sydney quintet have ignored all sonic frippery – no samples, no extended solos and no unnecessary breakdowns – and instead focused on quality songwriting, such as the slow-burning angst of Slavery, the melancholic Cursed and out-and-out rippers like Sustain and Wanderlust.

Vices offer yet further proof of the local hardcore scene’s continuing fecundity.
