Album Review: Various - Mandela: Long Wak To Freedom OST

Sadly, the movie and its soundtrack have now become something of a eulogy, and it might forever be associated with this fact.

Honouring one of the greatest legacies of modern times is no small task, but Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom well and truly steps up to the plate. An eclectic mix ranging from traditional choral pieces to jazz music reflecting Mandela's youth to protest songs from the likes of Bob Marley and Gil Scott-Heron, the music reflects the movie in that it sweeps through nearly a century of the civil rights movement. Sadly, the movie and its soundtrack have now become something of a eulogy, and it might forever be associated with this fact.
