Album Review: Vallenfyre - Splinters

If Turn Loose The Swans or Shades Of God are still on repeat at your place, Vallenfyre is well worth your time.

More Vallenfyre Vallenfyre

Okay, it's true: Vallenfyre is nothing more than an old-school death metal vanity project for Gregor Mackintosh (Paradise Lost). That said, you can't blame the man for wanting to celebrate the musical baby he helped birth. Accordingly, Vallenfyre's second LP, Splinters is just what you expect it to be – a dark and doomy romp through glorious mid-tempo chainsaw riffs, a pea-soup bottom end and growls straight outta 1993. If Turn Loose The Swans or Shades Of God are still on repeat at your place, Vallenfyre is well worth your time.
