For the uninitiated, experiencing the psychedelic post-music of Perth's Usurper Of Modern Medicine is something like standing on a high, snow-capped peak and surveying the near-infinite, sun-caressed horizon. UOMM's incorporation of electronics, drones and other experimental twists differentiate them from the other gazillion psyche acts going round, but their writing is strong enough to warrant daytime airplay given a sympathetic pop climate.
