"A rough-hewn exercise in droned-out rock"

An apocalyptic wastelend; an euphoric purging. Montreal’s USA Out Of Vietnam aim for the stratosphere, taking the grandiose and brutal brushstrokes of post-metal and doom rock’s finest purveyors and crafting a sprawling album that finds glorious catharsis out of desolation. Archangel seeps forth from the earth’s core, an assault on the dystopian senses; Leg Of Lamb toys with contemplation before melting down the landscape. Only You Are A Comet, You Are On Fire remains “reined back” under ten minutes. A rough-hewn exercise in droned-out rock.
