"Open your mind to the Tycho sun."

More Tycho More Tycho

If grains of sand resonated at the right frequency when brushed to produce clean notes on a chromatic scale, then Awake, the second album from San Francisco-based producer Tycho, would be a Zen garden. Endless synth lines swirl delicately around weighted bass tones, rising to form transcendent sonic movements. Awake is punctuated by percussion; sharp dance beats add direction and current to the meandering flow, keeping the record tight and on point. More purposeful than earlier works, the songs maintain a meditative soundscape while offering a rich and energetic trance experience. Open your mind to the Tycho sun.
