Peach PRC - Symptomatic

Breakthrough Australian singer and songwriter, Peach PRC, unveils ‘Symptomatic’, the follow up single to her break-up anthem ‘Josh’. Categorising her just as a TikTok star is undercooking the young acts immense talent. It’s another euphoric pop anthem, curated to perfection. On It’s creation, she stated, “My therapist once compared to me to Harley Quinn while I am in this state – that kind of bothered me. Then I thought, why don’t I write a song about being on this high and thinking I’m cured and just embrace the fuck out of the Harley-Quin-of-it-all! And that song – is ‘Symptomatic’.”

Liyah Knight - Moon Baby

Following from her breakthrough debut EP, ‘Nesting’ Sydney/Eora rising star Liyah Knight has released a new single, ‘Moon Baby’. ‘Moon Baby’ follows perfectly from the end of ‘Nesting’s closing track, ‘Somebody You’ tackling concepts of infatuation. The period of a relationship with an uninformed dream like optimism. She vividly presents this notion via a dreamy, downtempo pop ballad experience. Slowly strum guitars and a simple percussion line combine with uplifting melodies and an always gorgeous vocal delivery from Liyah, peaking during the tracks hook.

Young Franco - Come Thru featuring SonReal and Jalmar

Following one of the biggest breakout songs of last year, Young Franco is back with yet another refined banger, ‘Come Thru’ recruiting SonReal and Jalmar. As a track, ‘Come Thru’ deals in the provision of positive energy and trusting your inner confidence. Combining a glitchy synth line with laid back drums and a sexy slick bass line creates a melting pot of formidable two step and raucous energy. Joining the near perfect musical bed is SonReal and Jalmar. They provide a piece of unflustered bravado, with the two versatile vocal deliveries trading verses, bars and energy rapidly over the Margherita ready production.

Molly Payton - Honey

New Zealand via London singer Molly Payton has today released her first music of 2021 by way of ‘Honey’. The fast growing star continues to turn heads with her incredible songwriting skills and ‘Honey’ adds to that narrative. The track’s introspective tone hints at a coming of age, a moment in a relationship where the honeymoon period is over and realising each individuals personal contribution into the decay of the relationship. Due to lockdowns across the globe, Payton returned to New Zealand and this track is a product of the homecoming.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra - Weekend Run

Unknown Mortal Orchestra returns to share a new single. 'Weekend Run' marks their first taste of new music this year, showcasing their signature model soul sound across a solid 5 minute run time. It features a radio-ready earwork of a chorus, a disco driven groove and a gorgeous bridge.

Tyler, The Creator - Juggernaut featuring Llil Uzi Vert & Pharrell Williams

Featuring distorted drums, infectious and aggressive vocals and excellent features, this track, and record is proving to be one of the highlights of the year.

KYE - Gold featuring Sampa The Great & 18YOMAN

KYE’s beautifully layered vocals steal the show on this one. Sitting perched above a summery, spacey R&B/pop bed, her vocals shimmer elegantly between the glowing melodies. If the track couldn’t get any better, as KYE enters 6th gear, Sampa The Great enters the mix. She’s more than at home over the glitzy percussion, providing a trademark tingling and powerhouse verse.

Eilish Gilligan - Get Well Soon

Melbourne/Naarm based singer and songwriter Eilish Gilligan is releasing her forthcoming EP, ‘First One To Leave The Party’ on August the 6th. It’s lead single ‘Get Well Soon’ grapples with the despair of grieving relationships and the process of moving on, wrapped in the glistening glow of Gilligan’s exceptional songwriting. Her swelling voice through the tracks chorus is harrowing, combining elegantly with the a dancey drum line and rousing synths. Showcased on ‘Get Well Soon’ is her ability to perfectly capture an emotive period of time, packaging up an array of emotions, moods and feelings and presenting them through excellent, introspective music.
