Guitar virtuoso/vocalist Mark Tremonti has long been touted “the metal guy” in Creed and Alter Bridge. His second solo LP (featuring bassist Wolfgang Van Halen) further channels said influences; note Another Heart’s Gojira riff, pick scrapes included.

Occasional polyrhythmic flavours enhance the heavier approach, while galloping Radical Change underlines a penchant for thrash, albeit infused with that distinctive knack for melody.
