Album Review: Trap Them - Blissfucker

Blissfucker is a good album to cull and auto-repeat your favourites from ad infinitum.

More Trap Them Trap Them

With metal's ongoing D-beat/crust fixation showing no signs of abating – both at home and abroad – Trap Them may now consider themselves grizzled veterans of this feral trade. With Converge's Kurt Ballou unsurprisingly behind the controls, Blissfucker mostly sounds like the Trap Them we know and love as they eject bile with body-wrenching intensity. There's a tentative and mostly successful push towards more (gasp!) structured songs, but also a less successful exploration of turgid, grinding tempos. Blissfucker is a good album to cull and auto-repeat your favourites from ad infinitum.
