Tony Martin could take something as traditionally unfunny as bowel cancer and turn it into something hilarious.
Summoning that power for The Arse/Elbow Equation at this year's Fringe, Martin locks down yet another exceptional show. This year's performance is relaxed, and allows Martin's exceptional timing, characterisation and use of language to really shine through. Over decades of success in Australian TV and radio, Martin has crafted jokes so subtly intelligent that there tends to be a few-second laughter-gap at the end where the audience is comprehending it, and he has certainly brought plenty of this talent to The Arse/Elbow Equation.
