Album Review: Tom Odell - Wrong Crowd

StarStarStar

"Tom Odell is still playing it safe with his new album."

More Tom Odell Tom Odell

He may be older and wiser, but sadly Tom Odell is still playing it safe with his new album.

Magnetised has very strong Coldplay vibes while Concrete is a slow jam with an unexpected R&B twist. Silhouette, the standout track of the album, opens up with beautiful sounds of violins before the beats take over, almost like Muse's Starlight but more classical than rock. Daddy is darker compared to other tracks with guitars and synths, showing off Odell's outstanding vocal abilities. Odell's vocals are irresistible while his lyrics are captivating, which make a pleasant album.
