"A dreamy collection of broody, indie anthems that will resonate with the modern millennial gal."

More Tia Gostelow More Tia Gostelow

It sounds like someone may have crossed Tia Gostelow in the past, and we certainly wouldn't wanna be them as she releases her debut album with 11 beautifully articulated, moody bops.

Vague Utopia and That's What You Get are perhaps the most fun tracks on the album, but you can't help but to get lost in everything Gostelow does. State Of Art (album version) is certainly a highlight as she sings to - assumedly - a lover that's done her wrong, the anecdotal lyricism is captivating alongside the riveting sound of strings and drums.  The vocal duo between Gostelow and LANKS on Strangers is a match made in heaven, as they sing a lover's tale. Outer Space has an electric backing to it, it funnily enough giving it a galaxy feel, transporting you into another world with UFO sounding elements, while Gostelow sings those words that hit close to home.

It's a dreamy collection of broody, indie anthems that will resonate with the modern millennial gal as Gostelow sings tales of romanticised photos, killing time, velvet dresses and Saturday nights. The teenager's voice has almost a healing element to it, soothing but enthralling. Thick Skin proves that Gostelow has got one hell of a career coming her way.
