"It leaves a vague impression of something graceful and ambitious."

Theories Of Everything is the brainchild of ex-Big Heavy Stuff leader Greg Atkinson and poet/musician Meera Atkinson. Greg's up-beat, pithy style dovetails nicely with Meera's melancholy leanings, and the result is a delicate folk-pop record carrying some meaty ideas and themes.

Each song feels disparate, reflecting the staggered recording process under the steady hands of Thomas The Wooodcutter (ex-Ashtray Boy), and there's an impressive amount of instrumentation. It's not quite enough to save the record from evaporating, but it leaves a vague impression of something graceful and ambitious.
