Meet The Vamps. They're earnest and have a lot of feelings that are entirely related to girls: Girls they want to talk to (Lovestruck), girls they want to dance with (pop gem jam, Can We Dance), girls for whom they pen Jason Mraz ukulele-style diary entries (Girls On TV). These varied odes to gals everywhere are backed by a confusing collision of genres, from The Lumineers folk-lite to McFly pop-rock. The tempo dips quickly mid-record, making this 15-track LP feel about 12 songs too long. This is pop music at its most blandly basic.
