Album Review: The Tommyhawks - This Is Not A Desert Island

Perth four-piece The Tommyhawks manage to make sax infused, alt-indie, folk-rock cool on their edgy new EP This Is Not A Desert Island.

Saxophone becomes a unifying element across the five tracks of their third EP, including catchy opener Summertime, lyrically poetic Bedroom and upbeat, driving Oh My Love. They save the best, and heaviest for last with Nothing To Lose, which has some serious swagger.

This Is Not A Desert Island is a fun EP with loads of attitude.
