Album Review: The Phoncurves - Heartstrings

"If you’re a major indie fanatic, then go for The Phoncurves, as they’ll be right up your alley"

Indie music is becoming so popular it's slowly becoming the mainstream genre of music in Australia and The Phoncurves highlight this growing trend. This is the Brisbane duo's first EP and it's a four-track combination of quick tempo and slow, soulful songs. It's a pretty basic EP, with radio hits and some filler tracks. The one thing these ladies have going for them is their lyrics, as their writing is quite thoughtful and emotionally driven. If you're a major indie fanatic, then go for The Phoncurves, as they'll be right up your alley.
