Spanish outfit The Parrots deal a classic '60s garage sound that has its roots in '50s rock'n'roll. At their best they deal sloppy carefree lo-fi rock that exist on the fringe of psychedelia but still care for melody and hooks. 13th Floor Elevators are an obvious reference while frontman Diego Garcia's howls like Iggy Pop. Recorded in just a week, this album deals a party and raises a glass to the spirit of '65.
