The Love Junkies have been practising. Flight Test is a self-produced EP, and the follow-up to the Perth indie-rockers' debut album from last year, Maybelene. There are two new Junkies tunes, the remaining three being solo offerings from the band. Bassist Robbie Rumble's track Stormtroopers marches ahead of the others. The force is strongest with new track, Chemical Motivation. It's a mix of lightly-strummed acoustic guitars and dark, thrashing riffs. The Love Junkies are learning to fly.
