"Fuck off and find somebody else to be inspired by," Thane Pullan kindly informs well-wishers from his wheelchair.
Pullan, a Christchurch native, has a rare form of cerebral palsy that sees his cutting, dark sense of humour delivered through a computer generated voice. Despite this, Pullan works a great sense of timing into his set, surprising you into laughing at his self-deprecating jokes despite any well-wishing sensitivities you may hold. Pullan's jokes are self-aware, intelligent and extremely politically incorrect, the hilarity of which remove any sense of audience awkwardness and turn The Grumpy Cripple into a genuinely funny show.
