"There are few who pull off Celtic punk, but these have guys nailed it from the start and continue to on their latest."

More The Go Set More The Go Set

Melbourne five-piece The Go Set have made us wait an agonising four years for some fresh meat, but Rolling Sound is a satisfying reward for our efforts, picking up deftly where their 2011 self-titled album left off.

There are few who pull off Celtic punk, but these have guys nailed it from the start and continue to on their latest. The call-to-arms intro paves the way for the pub rock of Bones and the high-paced punk-to-rock Seven Years. In The Streets and Raise A Glass bust out the mandatory mandolin and harpsichord but it's the title track that takes the cake; the wall of guitars, echoing fills and rousing gang vocals make it the flag bearer of a standout album.
